A little behind on blog posts so I thought I would preview the weddings in the queue by their stunning florals. So many options for brides these days – type of flower, colours, combinations and arrangement. Every wedding is different and I love it! Enjoy.

My journey to incorporate film back into my work has been one of the most satisfying and exciting ventures. I absolutely adore the unique look of film as much as I adore the process of shooting it, though digital offers advantages over film in certain situations – hence my film-digital workflow. One of the best to incorporate both in her weddings is Jen Huang and when she announced her first Australian workshop I jumped at the chance. 3 amazing days in one of the most stunning locations listening and watching Jen cover so many relative topics was incredible and sharing with some other cool photographers was an added bonus. On the last day we had a styled wedding shoot which was coordinated by the lovely Miss Polka and featured on her very popular wedding blog here (with all the lovely contributors details) and this is Jen’s coverage on her blog here. These are some of my favourite images – Sian and Ross were fabulous models and I wish them all the best for their wedding later this year.

Here is the little dynamo Jen – such a joyous soul – she is so driven & talented but carefree as well. I think she loved our whacky Aussie humour at times.

Thanks so much Jen is was an incredible experience xoxoxo

Have just returned from 2 fabulous weeks in Western Australia – so grateful for the opportunity to swim with the Whale Sharks in Exmouth then cruise the fabulous Margaret River Region. There will be photos to come of course but earlier this year in February I spent 4 amazing days at Bunkers Bay attending the Jen Huang Workshop. Here are a couple of images of where I stayed and where the workshop was held – stunning is a massive understatement. Will post some of my workshop images tomorrow but here is to Bunkers Bay, crystal clear water, blue skies and sunshine.

Another gorgeous couple who chose to celebrate in Noosa. We had the perfect day – lots of pretty light, great locations and so much fun. Check out Kris’s pride and joy with the unique cold box built into the tray. Trish from Ulitmate Makeup Artistry did a fabulous job with the girls while the Boathouse Floating Restaurant was amazing with the late afternoon light. Thanks again it was perfect.

Yes she definitely bears a resemblance to Katie Holmes/Cruise – even her cute smile. And boy did she smile ALL DAY – one of my favourite weddings (which I shouldn’t say I love all my clients). This was totally about celebrating with family and friends. Some of my favourite suppliers as well – Trish from TF Makeup, Bill Scurry marriage Celebrant, Annie from First Class Functions and the Waterfront Restaurant & Bar. If you are loving the green foliage in these images – FILM – digital can not touch it.

Trish from TF Makeup and I usually get together during off-peak and do a concept shoot – something a little different to the norm. Special mention to Liz from A Sculpted Leaf for creating an amazingly creative and unique bouquet – brides-to-be you must definitely put her on your list. Also thanks to Karen for supplying the Augusta Jones gown – it was just perfect. Of course Soraya did a stella job as always!!! All shot on yummy Film.

Hope all my 2012 weddings are half as much fun as this one. Elegant though casual Nicole & Matt were really after a celebration. Awesome florals by Liz from A Sculpted Leaf, Mask Events styled a gorgeous ceremony at Hidden Grove before the stunning reception at Berardo’s Restaurant. Pretty beyond words.

Here is another Bride who went for something a little different and express her personality. Fabulous dress, stunning flowers by Mondo Floral designs, dramatic makeup by TF Makeup and striking hair by Sandy from Rolling Scissors. Of course one of the best venues on the Sunshine Coast if not Australia – Maleny Manor – LOVED the mist as well.
